CRV AmBreed NZ is part of the third largest
artificial breeding company in the world with 25% market share
in New Zealand. CRV AmBreed was established in 1969 with
a core business of dairy semen production and sales on the
domestic market.
CRV AmBreed focuses on being innovative and
continues to evaluate different ways to develop for the
benefit of the New Zealand Dairy Industry.
CRV AmBreed is continually looking at how
we can develop our bull programme. In particular, farm staff
have been working hard with the development of the centre in
Cambridge. Continuing to grow the number of young sires and
mature sires, CRV AmBreed is also focusing on how we can
accommodate the potential growth in bull numbers, while not
having to have a number of farms all over the countryside.
To overcome this, we have invested in a
single property in the Raglan area. The farm is called
Peninsula Farm and is 600 acres. The property has been
selected for a number of reasons, however the dominant reason
is the ease of management of the farm in one place. Peninsula
Farm has approximately 23kms of coastline and has only 800
meters of fence line that is neighbouring other properties.
